Send The Trend

I had received a gift recently via Groupon for this website called sendthetrend.com. SendTheTrend is a website that only sells accessories, and they are all priced at $29.95. It features talented designers such as past Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano (one of my fav). The accessories are available only for a certain period of time as the next hot trend comes in.

The gift was that I could chose three pieces of accessories from the website for free, all shipping and taxes included. And of course, I was ecstatic! Who doesn’t want free accessories? Who could ever have enough accessories? No one!

Check out this awesome bracelet I got! I know it’s a little bling crazy, but we all need some sparkles!
FYI, all items come wrapped in branded black velour bag that u can reuse.

Happy Holidays!

Winter Snow Shoving Boots….wear them in style?!?!?

As the temperature drops, I have come to the realization that I need a pair of durable, water proof, boots that I can clean scrape the ice off of my car, shove snow in. Since I park on the street, there really is not choice but to purchase one of those clunky, rubber-soled boots. As I browse through the web sites in search for a pair that I was going to have buy and be reluctant to wear…I got distracted (naturally) somehow magically found myself on Aldo.com (I swear, don’t know how it happened, my fingers must have just magically typed without my control).

So now I’m on the site, looking for boots, (NOT THE WINTER ONES) naturally. Suede ones with kitten heels, leather ones, ankle ones that are on clearance… Wait! I can’t get distracted, my mission was to buy an ugly pair of utility boots to dig my car out of the snow. But, somehow, something flashed in front of my eyes… can’t be….can it?

I found these babies and yes even though they are winter work boots, but they look….decent! And they look pretty tough…right? Water proof material, rubber sole, warm looking…and most of all, WAY MORE fashionable and easy on the eye than your traditional snow boots, god forbid I put a picture of those on here…

I’m giving it til tonight for some thought and then I’ll be snatching it up! Plus, free shipping and extra 30% off on already reduced prices, can’t beat that!

Love this look

I came across this outfit on New York and Company’s website, one of my all-time favorite places to shop in person and online. They have fabulous “petite” sizes that fit short people like me without having to worry about hemming the bottom. Plus, it’s nice they call it “petite” instead of “short” like many other brands.

I just adore this the ruffles blossoming out of the cardigan, which has an interesting mix of textures, then to top it off with a skinny flower belt. I know I know you are not supposed to wear white after labor day, but whoever came up with that myth is just…stupid. The high-waisted cream skirt is so elegant and not to mention elongating (not that she needs that effect since she’s a freaking model), but for the rest of us that wears “petite,” this comes it super handy! But with a pair of stockings of course in this weather. One of my biggest pet peeves is when females go bare-legged when it is NOT season appropriate, that just really makes you look – young, and well, cold! But I can dedicate a whole other post about this topic.

I definitely plan on snagging that cardigan before it’s all sold out. Btw, NY & Co. is having its 50% off everything sale like they usually do starting from today until 11/28 I believe.

Reminiscing good times @ Dominican Republic

As I attempt to organized the countless disorganized photos on my laptop, I came across pictures from a trip my boyfriend and I had taken only 8 months ago, in beautiful Dominican republic. What I remembered the most was the brilliant feeling of being disconnected to the internet & cell phone (ironically I am blogging now, using the internet). I did not bring my cell phone since I did not want to risk paying for roaming charges overseas. It turned out to be so pleasant, and much needed. I know all of us are so hooked onto our gadgets that we, in reality, starve for face-to-face communication.

Anyway, these pictures make my heart smile. Good times.

Feels great when the water is not ice cold.

Ahh….

Stairways to the beach.

So happy.

Nothing beats an all-inclusive trip… :-)

The shows were amazing…every night!
